Interviewed after his heroics on a night of much drama at Upton Park, goalkeeper Adrian described his thoughts as he stepped up to take the match winning penalty...
Revealing that he felt overcome by a calmness, he dramatically discarded his goalkeeping gloves before charging up to take the penalty.
Although many Hammers were aware that the Spaniard was formerly a striker, he revealed that in fact he had never actually taken a penalty under serious circumstances!
However, such concerns were far from his mind as he described his final thoughts as "I'll take off my gloves - this game is over"!!!
And it was as he slotted the kick to claim a new level of hero status amongst the Bubbles brigade.
