Di Canio Tipped To Join Bilic Backroom Staff!

Although as yet unconfirmed, it seems very likely that Slaven Bilic will look to his longtime collaborators Nikola Jurcevic and Aljosa Asanovic to provide backroom support in his new role at West ham. Both shared the considerable successes of the Croatian national team as well as the torrid time at Locomotiv Moscow, with Jurcevic also involved over the past two years at Besiktas.

However, Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan has 'hinted' that Bilic will also employ the services of some Hammers legends to support the team thus raising the issue of the identity of potential coaching staff. Allardyce's departure has been hastily followed by that of Neil Macdonald and Teddy Sheringham - leaving a number of coaching gaps to fill.

But who are these 'legends'? Moreover, what defines a Hammers' legend and what distinguishes such glitterati from the less celebrated Leg Ends? Both Julian Dicks and Steve Potts clearly meet the former criteria and could readily switch from their current roles at the club. Alan Devonshire has also demonstrated a coaching capacity over the past few years at Braintree town, albeit at non-league level. But maybe, just maybe, the board are thinking about something much more exciting .........

....IS DI CANIO ON HIS WAY BACK???????

  1. Not likely. Too volatile - both of them.
