The mighty Hammers Euro adventure continues tomorrow as they take on Maltese giants Birkirkara (known as 'the Stripes') holding a slender one-goal lead from last week's first leg. Slaven Bilic will be hoping that his side can do better when as is expected the maltese outfit chase a giantkilling scalp and loosen the heavily-manned defence that proved so effective in the first leg.
With ex-Italian International Fabrizio Miccoli in the side, Birkirkara should not be underestimated, especially from set pieces where his shooting ability could pose a problem. With attacking options limited by bans (Sakho, Payet) and injuries (Carroll, Valencia), Mauro Zarate and Elliot Lee will be hoping to shine up front.
Meanwhile, on the subject of 'Small Victories', Cavan rockers the Strypes release their second album this week. Having listened to a sneak preview, VERYWESTHAM can confirm that it is a proper stunner!
Expect the Cavan Strypes to have considerably more success than the Maltese Stripes as the Hammers march on in Europe!
