Time for Noble to rediscover Attacking Focus?

Interesting Sponsor logo or what?

Back in his early days in the Hammers squad, young Mark Noble was seen as an attacking presence in midfield. However, as the years have progressed his greatest asset to the team has become as a busy but mostly defensive midfielder (spending most of his time under Allardyce covering for the increasingly immobile Kevin Nolan!).

Under Slaven Bilic, he has pushed further forward but is still primarily a holding midfielder as one of the two deep central presences in the 4-2-3-1 system. With Payet and Lanzini crocked until the New Year, and Martin Samuelson out on loan at Peterborough for at least another month, Nobes may pose the best attacking midfield option for the Hammers.

What's the bets he is spending a considerable amount of training time practising his shooting? With our wide players on the treatment table, Slaven Bilic will need to think hard to find a way of getting decent service to the likes of Carroll and Jelavic - a strong midfield with the full backs acting as surrogate wingers? Time for Cressy to step up and Jenks to rediscover his form!

Maybe young Josh Cullen might bolster the attacking threat from midfield? either way, we are deep into yet another injury crisis - but unlike two years ago, this one is up top. Speaking of which. Roger 'the Relegator' Johnson is now with Indian 'Super' League side FC Pune City. At just 32 years old, it seems an early tailing off of his career.

Right now, we need reinforcements out wide and up top.....Let's hope Victor Moses' scan tomorrow is positive and thar the Michail Antonio scare is just noise.
