Double Trouble: Bad News for Hammers Ahead of Brighton Bash!

After three straight defeats on the road you would think that Brighton would be no hopes with the bookies but such is the malaise at the London Stadium that they are quoted at 7/4, just slight outsiders compared with the hosts who are 6/4 against the win.

West ham have never beaten Brighton in the Premiership despite 5 previous meetings. That hasn't stopped Charlie Nicholas from predicting a 2-1 home win, but the news that will worry West Ham fans is that Mystic Mark Lawrenson also reckons the Hammers will prevail, in his case by a 1-0 scoreline. Given Lawros remarkable talent for calling it wrong when it's anything Hammers, his hunch points to a disappointing draw or, even worse, what would be a totally shattering defeat.

In even worse news, match referee is the awful Michael Oliver. Oliver has presided over three Hammers games so far this season - all defeats. Tottenham, Palace and worst of all the VAR farce at Sheffield United.

The omens are doubly bad but...

Disturbing News For Hammers Fans

West ham welcome Everton to the London Stadium today hoping to recover after the disappointment of losing under controversial circumstances at Sheffield United last weekend. David Moyes is talking tough suggesting that his side can develop upon their superb 3-0 crushing on Everton in one of his final games during his successful previous stint as club manager.

Indeed, the Hammers have looked much more organised both offensively and, inevitably at the back, since his arrival. However, Everton have also formed up under new boss Carlo Ancellotti and have risen up the table to 11th. With  series of super tough fixtures coming up, the Hammers simply need some points on the board so they will be inclined to play it tight and tough.

Dazzler Randolph looks set to walk back into the side after boomeranging back from a successful period at Middlesboro and Moyes has hinted that he is likely to start. Otherwise, Antonio could he back while Anderson is a doubt.

Paddy Poor- Maker has Everton as favourites at 7/5, the Hammers at 15/8 and the draw 12/5. Worryingly, Mystic Mark Lawrenson reckons the Hammers will prevail 2-1....but he's usually wrong with most things to do with West Ham!

Mystic Mark Predicts More Hammers Woe

The madness continues tonight as West Ham travel to take on Wolves. Still all over the place after The Arniegate affair, they could do with a result to steady the ship.

Arnautovic should return tonight, along with Declan Rice who sat out the miserable drubbing agaibst lowly Wimbledon at the weekend. That shoukd make for a different performance but Manuel Pellegrini will be wary of a Wolves side that deserved their win at the London stadium earlier in the season and have maintained a high standard since.

Apparently Gareth Southgate will be in attendance hoping to speak with Declan Rice about his International future.

However, 'Mystic' Mark Lawrenson reckons Wolves will coast home with a 2-0 win and the bookies tend to agree quoting then at evens with a draw at 5/2 and the Hammers at 3/1 against for a win.

All set for a Hammers victory so!

Liverpool Legend Slams Hammers Chiefs and Predicts Another Miserable Night Ahead

Mark 'Mystic Meg' Lawrenson is not exactly the most popular amongst Hammers faithful as he almost always predicts a defeat for our side and when he says we should win we invariably stutter. However, Lawro rarely goes so far as to directly criticise players or management having been domesticated by years of sit-on-the-fence BBC punditry.

That is until now! In his usual 'West Ham will lose' match prediction he has added that he is 'sick of hearing' what West Ham's owners think of the club's performance and lashed into them for overuse of social media!

Lawrenson went on to accuse the owners of ramping up the pressure on Slaven Bilic with their endless comments about his future at the club.

Things must be bad if even the normally docile Lawro is expressing such strong opinions! Maybe it's time for a media blackout at the club until Premiership safety is guaranteed?

Nostradamus Sits on the Fence as Hammers Prepare to Chew Toffees!

There have been many surprises this season. Leicester's sustained excellence, Chelski's bland mediocrity and Man United's refusal to attack. But through all this crazy uncertainty there has been one anchoring constant - Mark 'Nostradamus' Lawrenson's conviction that West ham will lose!

As such, Lawro's prematch prediction for West ham's visit to Everton will gravely unsettle those who crave consistency and order. The wise one has opted for a 1-1 draw which, we are pretty certain, means he doesn't believe West ham will lose!!!

Whatever next? Lukaku to NOT score in a game against West ham? Dimitri Payet in misplaced pass shocker? Maybe even the totally unthinkable, MARK NOBLE FOR ENGLAND???

Mystic Mark Predicts the Unpredictable

Mark Lawrenson is every bookies dream - over confident, stubborn and most importantly, usually wrong! Hammers fans have become irked by his obvious antipathy towards the club as time and time again he has predicted that they will lose despite their excellent form this season. Recently he went so far as to predict that they would probably lose at least 39 Premiership games this season - one more than they actually play!

As such, Hammers fans will be delighted that he has predicted a 2-1 defeat to Southampton this evening at St Mary's.

One suspects that Mr Payet may have something to say about all of this come kick off!

Lawro in Hammers Slur

He's having a laff!
One of the crucial flaws in the Anfield psyche that has contributed to their continued decline over recent years is the remarkable capacity of Pool followers to look inwards in the face of reality. While West ham fans are savouring a deserved victory over the reds, during which Liverpool managed only a single shot in anger over 90 minutes, top Pool pedant Mark Lawrenson has taken the opportunity to indulge in some good old fashioned begrudgery. Describing the triumphant Hammers as "not a good team" and destined "to end up towards the bottom of the league", Lawrenson has once again revealed the insular nature of the Anfield mob.

Looking around the pitch yesterday it was hard not to notice how West Ham had the edge in so many positions, with our centre backs totally stifling Benteke et al, while the midfield lapped up anything the impotent Liverpool side had to offer. even worse, Slaven Bilic was able to rub salt into the Reds' wounds by fielding some of our exciting young talent as the game drifted to an inevitable finish.

Liverpool will certainly play better this season, but to describe West Ham as a bottom of the table side is the sort of churlish and undignified comment that befits a sore loser. The travelling Bubbles brigade summed it up by chanting for a fourth goal at the end of a well earned win.

With that level of arrogance, it wont be 52 years until our next Anfield success!
