The Declan Rice story has been a major positive for Hammers fans this season as the 19 year old has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in the Premiership.
Even at this early stage in his career it is apparent that he is the best academy product since Captain Claret himself, Mark Noble!
Having nabbed him from Chelsea, Rice is fast becoming West Ham's revenge for John Terry's move to Stamford Bridge instead of Upton Park all those years ago!
Rice has shown remarkable maturity, both on and off the pitch this season and is possibly the first name on the starting XI each week.
While there has been a lot of angst about his contract situation, Rice has shown a cool head and got on with the more important business of playing football. Courted by the Republic of Ireland and England, Rice has yet to finally commit himself internationally.
In the latest chapter of the fairy tale story, he has featured in a new track by @DonStrapzy_ : Referring to having the vision of Messi, Strapzt then comments "I’m breaking up the play, I think I’m Declan Rice".
Rice himself later expressed his approval on twitter
At this stage anything seems possible for the lad who is still only 19 years old!!! Declan Rice really is a young man with the world at his feet. Let's hope the Hammers sort out his contract asap!
